Our Shepherd's Hut - The Hide

The Hide is set at the high point of Portesham Vineyard, looking down across the gentle slopes of the coastal countryside. Nestled between the sea and the South Dorset Downs, the vineyard enjoys a unique microclimate.

The hut itself has a wood-burner, a double bed and a cosy, restful interior. The Summer House next door is your living room, with a wood burning stove and oven, gas camping stove, space for dining and everything you will require for the ultimate glamping experience.  

All together it makes for a peaceful stay in a lovely corner of Dorset . Enjoy late Summer evenings around the fire pit, or toast your toes in Winter in front of the log burner with a with a glass of extremely local wine. Be amazed by the wonder of the Milky Way, and the sight of the local wildlife amongst the vines. 

There's plenty to do in the local area, you'll be spoilt for choice! From beachside cafes, to country pubs, coastal walks, fossil hunting, sailing and kayaking. Information and recommendations all available on arrival!
